There is no better source for the fast, funny writing of a middle-aged man living in the Rust Belt, with a cat. My writing has appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. I absolutely 100% guarantee that you will be entertained. Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. Never miss an update.

I compiled a bunch of my favorite content from the last few years and put it in a place where you can read it to get an idea of what you’re in for.

TOPICS NOT INCLUDED

Politics. There are lots of places you can go to read about Republicans and Democrats and stuff. It’s important and I encourage everyone to be curious about and engaged with the important matters of the day, but this newsletter is not for those.

Stuff that will bum you out. I am primarily interested in optimism and positivity. I have no interest in creating lists of things I don’t like, or dwelling too long on subjects I find troubling. I want to share the good news of beauty, truth, joy, and the unexpected places we find them.

Juicy gossip about celebrities. I don’t know any celebrities anyway.

Recipes. I don’t really cook anything except grilled cheese sandwiches, and they’re pretty good grilled cheese sandwiches, but I have the diet of a raccoon.

Stay up-to-date
